I use this in the visual like this: let useToolTipService: boolean = this.host.tooltipService.enabled(); // ALWAYS TRUE However, the result of this method has no relation with whether the user of the visual has enabled/activated report page tooltips in the Power BI UI. I have created report page tooltip functionality in a custom visual, which works fine. I want to avoid executing unnecessary code when initializing the visual and need to know whether the user has disabled the functionality in the UI. However, i can't seem to get a handle on whether the user has enabled or disabled it. I tried this.host.tooltipService.enabled(), but this is always true. In the metadata -> objects there is nothing available, only the settings objects i created myself in capabilities.json etc. Is there another way to know whetehr a user has disabled Report page tooltips?759Views0likes2Comments
