Executing a SQL Query in Power BI Service

Hi All,

I was wondering if anybody had already faced this problem.

I Have a report with one table that I import with a SQL Query.

In the power BI desktop, the query uploads a table with 19 954 rows.

In the power bi service, after publishing the same report and doing a manual refresh, the same query upload a table with 160k rows.

I don't understand why i get this and how is this even possible ?

Thanks

Kind regards

Saâd

Finally found the problem.

It was more related to the administration of the Gateway. I do not have the same accesses as the Gateway which imports all the data.

Thanks for your help

Kind regards

Hi @Anonymous ,

Please check if your query involves datetime filtering. Power BI Service use UTC time which might have a time difference with your local time.

Are you sure your gateway is pointing to the same server/database? You could see this if you developed using Prod, but the gateway is pointing to Test.
