Hi @Anonymous ,

According to the official documentation, when using “Add Link”, you can only open the embedded link in the content area.

Publish an app in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

So, you can make a report using your data source, then copy its embedded link and add it to the app.

If your Current Period does not refer to this, please clarify in a follow-up reply.

Hi @Anonymous

I have added link for the ppt as well as Tabluea report. Those are working fine.

I have not added those link using embed option. I have uploaded ppt in share point and same link has been added to the content area option which is working fine.

There is only problem with Excelsheet.

Hope i have cleared the doubts.

Thanks..!!

Hi @Anonymous ,

Can you provide more details on this? Because in my tests, both excel and ppt links show the same warning, they don't show up under the options in the content area.

Hi @Anonymous,

Not sure if you can embed links from other services which are behind a logon with this link feature. When I try to embed such a file from SharePoint it is trying to Authenticate with that site, which fails.

Seems that these are only anonymous/website type of resource links which you can embed.
