Slicer (New) - Issue

na12063_2-1731445560123.png

Slicer (New) - When searching for an item that doesn’t exist in the list, it’s expected for the data to be hidden. However, in this case, the search box itself also disappears! To restore functionality, I have to refresh the browser in the Power BI Service.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue with this slicer visual? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, @na12063

Thanks for SamWiseOwl's help. It really isn't an effect that meets expectations and the search box should remain. You can create a support ticket by filling in the relevant information in the link below.

When you create a ticket, someone will follow up on your question, and I'll update here if there's any progress.

As a workaround, you can try SamWiseOwl's method or do this to appear the search box.

  1. Click on the top right corner of the visual object and uncheck the Search function.

  2. Reclick the on the top right corner of the visual object and reopen the search box.

Hi @na12063

It isnt just you

If you toggle the search on off it also reloads (in reading view)

The clear slicers button also works

Probably connected to the fact that it isn't even appearing as a visual!

As a work around consider using the Text Search Slicer to filter your list
