Error when sharing report

I'm trying to share a report with a group of users.

I've invited them to have direct reading access of the report and added them via the azure active directory according to the following guide: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/external-identities/add-users-administrator

A subset of the user-group aren't able to gain access to the report and receive a message of:

"Invitation redemption failed" with the error code AADB28_0001

It says something along the lines of: "the tenant's administrator must create an account for you"

What should I do to mitigate this issue?

/Martin

Hi @MartinLucas ,

AADB2B_0001 Can't create an Azure AD account with self-service due to the catalog is federated.

The Azure AD has federated domain here. If the invited user is not present in the cloud tenant, Azure AD tries to create the user. If user domain is federated, we don’t have permission to create the user. In such scenario whoever is invited, should contact their administrator to sync their identity to cloud and then they should be able to accept the invitation.

Hi @MartinLucas

The matter is either the User has to have an already a Power Bi Pro license under his/her organization or your organization must add a Power Bi Pro license to the Guest/User.
