Hi,
I'm hoping you can help me. Every time I try to refresh some of my reports I get the following error message:
"Data source error: SharePoint: Request failed: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error. (Internal Server Error). The exception was raised by the IDataReader interface."
The table that it refrences as the cause of the error changes each time but it is always the same error. It is happening on multiple reports across multiple workspaces. I have tried dowloading the .pbix but that won't refresh either, it just refers to a (500) Internal Server Error.
TIA
Rich
Hi @RDigger
Did you try to delete the calculated column from your share point site library? Power Pivot has issues with importing "Calculated Fields" - But I think these are Sharepoint created and might still work with Infopath created Calculated fields, I hope this helps. Once I removed the calculated fields I stopped getting this error immediately.
Check out the April 2026 Power BI update to learn about new features.
