Hi everyone,
I have a dataset that feeds into an App that goes across multiple sites and each site is restricted to see only data that impacts them via RLS. I have a table that a team populate regarding letters that are due to be sent out for each site and I have an alert set up to trigger when a letter is added. The alert is to notify the site manager that a letter is due to be sent and the process is that if they agree to the letter they do nothing but if they want to challenge the letter then they have a limited window to do so before it is automatically created and sent out.
My problem is that whilst alerts are going out, it appears that they are only initiated after the site manager logs in making it rather redundant. For example, the dataset is refreshed at 9:00 AM and a pending letter is added taking the tile number to 1 which is above its threshold. Site manager logs in at 12:20 after 2 more refreshes and opens the app when suddenly the alert is triggered an email alert sent.
Is this because it is a Power BI app with RLS? I need to find a way around this as it is leading to operational issues.
Any help would be appreciated.
Hi @StanleyBlack ,
For your requirement, I found that this video should help you which introduce the steps how we distribute the Power BI alert to a group of users with Microsoft Flow.
