Error creating Gateway Connection to SQL MI using service account

We are trying to create a Gateway Connection to a SQL Managed Instance (SQL MI) using a service account that has access to the SQL MI and database using Windows auth.  However, when creating the connection we get this error message.

Hi @TomSinAA 

The service account needs to be added to the Gateway as Admin of it.
