Power BI Report Usage activity

Hi Team - We have about 6 Power BI work spaces and each of this workspace has about  12 Power BI reports. Multiple users access these reports.

Is there a way we can build a report with columns : report name | User | Number of views per day.

I want to track the activity of the report users for the last 30 days

Thanks

    Hi Anonymous ,

Yes, you can track the usage of your Power BI reports using Power BI’s built-in auditing with Office 365.

You need to have the necessary permissions to access the Security & Compliance Center. Once there, go to > . Check the box that says .SearchAudit log searchStart recording user and admin activities.

Search the Audit Logs for Power BI Activities. After at least 24 hours, you can search the audit logs for Power BI activities. In the drop-down, select the activities you want to monitor. After the search, you can export the results to a CSV file. You can then import this CSV file into Power BI and create a report with columns,You can create a calculated column for by counting the number of rows per day for each user and report.ReportNameUserNumber of Views per DayNumber of Views per Day.

Please note the audit logs are only retained for 90 days, so you’ll want to regularly export the data if you want to keep a longer history.
