Embedded tables in PowerPoint - Speed up load time

I have been working with embedding live links to Power BI tables into PowerPoint slides.  The tables are not large and should be pretty quick to load but it takes about 10-15 seconds for the table to load when you pull up the slide.  This isn't terrible but my boss would like to get it down to 1-2 seconds.

The PowerPoint is on Sharepoint so it has multiple people with edit rights on it.  The slides without embedded BI tables load super quickly.  My assumption is the software behind the embedded BI tables feature needs to be improved and there isn't much I can do.  But maybe there are some tips or tricks to speed up the embedded BI table load time when you pull up the slide in PowerPoint?

Thanks!

Hi , @douggkurt

Based on your issue description, you want to optermize the Power BI report that use the live feature to embed into your Power Point file, here are several reasons that may lead to the report loading slow in the embed application, one is about the data loading speed of the report visual's data, this is based on your capacity assigned to the workspace that contains the report, if there's a chance, you may try to upgrade the workspace to the Premium capacity, this may be useful to up the data loading speed of the report visual's data:

Another point is to filter down the data displayed in the report page's visuals and generate the embed report URL to the PPT again, this will be also very useful to reduce the data calculation time in the embed report and speed up the data calculation duration

Add a filter to a report in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
