Hello,
What are exact the differences between sharing the Power Bi report and using the Link (Embed code). As I free version I cannot share my reports/dashboard with colleagues and sa I read when I will buy PRO version for myself, the colleagues will still not be able to consume my reports/dashboars.
But when I create the Link and they will save it to favorites in browser, or I will insert it as iFrame into CRM Dynamics Dashboard (for example), the reports will work as “shared”?
What are the advantages of sharing (it is expensive) or what are the limitations of links( it is free)
Thank you

Hi @iwf,
Based on my research, with sharing, whether you share content inside or outside your organization, you need a Power BI Pro license. Your recipients also need Power BI Pro licenses, or the content needs to be in a Premium capacity and Power BI also offers several other ways to collaborate and distribute dashboards and reports.
You could refer to this link: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-how-to-collaborate-distribute-dashboards-reports
With "Embed code Link" , you can publish Power BI reports to the whole Internet by embedding interactive visualizations in blog posts, websites, social media, and other online communications on any device. Anyone on the Internet can view your reports, and you have no control over who can see what you've published.
