Hi, may I know for these scenarios, can external users (who we have already onboard in Azure) receive email subscription from Power BI apps:
Free users (no paid license), access to Apps in Pro Workspace
Free users (no paid license), access to Apps in Fabric Workspace
Free users (no paid license), access to Apps in Fabric Trial Workspace
Thanks in advance!
Solved! Go to Solution.
Scenario 1: Not supported since Pro workspaces require a Pro or PPU license for content consumption, so free external users cannot access the app at all.
Scenario 2: For free external users to access Fabric capacity apps without a paid license, the workspace must be on F64 or higher (or equivalent P1 and above). On smaller Fabric SKUs like F2, F4, F8 etc., external users still need a Pro or PPU license to consume content.
Scenario 3: For Trial capacity, free external users cannot reliably use email subscriptions. Trial capacity does not grant the same free user consumption rights as F64+.

Hello @aishahslmn99
No free users (even if onboarded in Azure AD / Entra ID) cannot receive email subscriptions from Power BI apps in any of those scenarios.
