Dynamic Parameter

I have a table check_register, which has three columns, ID ,INSTR_NO,employee_id

I have used the following query

let
Source = Oracle.Database("entp_prod_support", [HierarchicalNavigation=true, Query="SELECT ID,instr_no FROM check_register WHERE instr_no="&Parameter1&""])
in
Source

When i change the Parameter in Desktop, it works fine but when i update the parameter in the setting of app, it does not fetch any record

Surprisingly The same works for the column Emploee_id

Please help

Thanks for your quick response Jay.

I got the answer: In fact when i was using the PBI Desktop, the username was different than the one for the PBI app(through Browser).

The column has a exempt policy, so the Desktop user has access to those columns but the PBI app user does not have the privilege to view the check number/instrument number ccolumn.

Problem is solved now.

Thanks

Hi @rmpanda ,

You may take a look at the document about how to filter a report using query string parameters in the URL.

Jay
