Hi Everyone, I have a PBI report which I am using to show real time data, every minute, using page refresh on direct query.
However, it is only working on the desktop version, not on the Power BI Service.
Few things I did was-
1. Make a direct query connection for the table in report.
2. turned on page refresh, which worked on the Desktop version.
3. When I published the report on Power Bi Service, it showed report disconnected.
4. I have tried multiple solutions found online, none of them are working for me.
5. I have re-configured the gateway as well. But it still keeps showing There is no gateway to access the data source 'database name'.
This only happens if I have a direct query connection, as soon as I change that table to import connection, it is working all fine, automatically makes the database connection thru gateway.
I cannot find any solution for it to work further.
has anyone dealt with the same issue before?
It is out of my thinking scope now. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, @r4m4nxd
First, you need to check if you have a gateway
Find your semantic model and set it up. Once you're in the settings, select Gateway and Cloud connection
Select Add to gateway
Create a new connection.
Then Map to your connection, select apply.
If your refresh is normal, then the gateway connection is successful

Thank you so much.
Although I already had a connection made for the same database in that gateway, I recreated another connection with same credentials and database name. It finally showed up in the drop down, and now the refreshes are running smoothly.
Thank you very much for detailed guidleines.
