Hello,
I wanted to ask, if I delete a dataset in Power BI Web, will the data be removed completely from the cloud?
Hi @MbProg,
Power BI uses two primary repositories for storing and managing data: data that is uploaded from users is typically sent to Azure Blob storage, and all metadata as well as artifacts for the system itself are stored in Azure SQL Database.
In my opinion, when we delete dataset from the Power BI Service, corresponding information will be removed from the Azure Blob storage or Azure SQL Database.

From the end user side, the delete will be instant. In terms of the data from Microsoft's perspective, I believe it's an hour lag time before the data is completely removed. Maybe someone from the Power BI team can confirm on this.
