Date Picker with Period (Year & Month) only

Hi,

I have a datepicker on day level, but i have a fninacial period where i want to convert the date into a period within date picker

Date Picker on Year & Month "being the lowest level to select"

I have added the date horarchy and removed day but the picker reverts to day, first day of month

Kindly help, examples/links etc

I would suggest making sure your data model has a calendar table and is properally linked in your table relationships.  With a calendar table, you should be able to create a column that contains Month/Year and is sorted by other columns.

Yes, a calendar table would support this.  Since you can have Month and Year columns, you can use those columns in your date picker.  You can have a column which is your Month/Year financial period in any format that suits such as "Mar-24" or "202403" or whatever you like.  This will then translate that back into a context of date records linked out into your model.

I have tried your suggestion unfortunatly it does not provide a date picker but a drop down & list 

It seems that Date Picker does not provide on month level even if its first/last day of the month othert han custom development

Please anyone have some ideas on a work around or another methd

The outcome you have described is the expected outcome from my suggestion.  Its not clear to me what you mean be "Date Picker" then.  Perhaps the custom visual called "timeline slicer" is what you are after?

The date picker is the calendar popups when date on day level, was hoping instead of day it would simply one up in a Month view.

I have KPI's on a scorecard with each having individual Date Slicer/Picker and the Timeline slicer is way to big and I have very limited real estate on each KPI.

Was hoping the Picker could offer months similar to offering the days 😞

Any other suggestions please?

There are no standard visuals with what you require.  You would need to search for a custom visual.
