Hello,
As of this morning, we started receiving the following error message for any Power BI reports connected to our Datamart:
"DataSource.Error: Microsoft SQL: Cannot open server 'spartan-srv-nam-powerbiprodnam-877c57e22536' requested by the login. Client with IP address '40.80.189.76' is not allowed to access the server. To enable access, use the Azure Management Portal or run sp_set_firewall_rule on the master database to create a firewall rule for this IP address or address range. It may take up to five minutes for this change to take effect.. "
Nothing has changed in our workspace and we're seeing the same error trying to connect from Power BI, Azure Data Studio, or any other tool. The same error appears for anyone trying to connect, and the IP address listed above appears to be a Microsoft IP. At first glance, this seems like it might be an internal misconfiguration. Any thoughts on what might be going on here?

This appears to have been a transient issue that cleared itself up after a couple of hours. We didn't change anything on our end and things started working again.
‼️ Microsfot wants to retire the Datamart. Please see the link below and make your comments if not satisfied:
