Does anyone know if there is an option to turn on the enhanced compute engine by default?
Sorry my question was around if it's possible for every dataflow created to have the enhanced compute engine turned on by default as opposed to having to opt to turn it on for each one created

The following features are available only with Power BI Premium (PPU or a Premium capacity subscription):
To change the default setting and enable the enhanced compute engine, do the following steps:
In your workspace, next to the dataflow you want to change the settings for, select More options.
From the dataflow's More options menu, select Settings.
