I've searched here but wasn't successful. Is it possible to trigger the export to excel: data with current layout-feature in Power BI Service via button within the report?

Unfortunately, there is no option to customize such buttons.

You can vote for these related ideas. 

Make the data export buttons VISIBLE 

Button to Export to Excel 

If there are enough votes, the Product Team will evaluate and take good consideration about them.
