Data source Schema changed

Hello Everyone,

I have published a report to Power Bi Service that uses a Microsoft SQL Server as the data source,
We recently updated the Database schema and renamed columns and added new ones

BI Desktop, TheTable has refreshsed to reflect the new schema, so all filters work fine

However, when i Publish the same report to Power Bi Service workspace i get the below error, I have readded and reauthenticated the connection, refreshsed the gatwaye connection but still get the below error when attmepting to filter by a column in the same table that the schemawas changed.
Anyone has any suggestion on what to do to resolve this?

Highly Appreciated

Hi @LeslieIT,

Please check the power query steps affected the table and look for any removed columns or renamed columns any changed datatypes.

You're likely getting this error because Power BI Service is still referring to the old schema.

In Power BI Desktop, go to Transform Data > Data Source Settings, clear permissions, and reconnect to the SQL Server.

Re-check that all columns, visuals, and filters are working fine after schema changes.

Re-publish the report to the Power BI Service.

In the Power BI Service, open Dataset Settings:

Reconfigure the gateway if needed.

Do a manual refresh once.

Thanks,
Bhavin

Hi @BhavinVyas3003

Thank you for your reply,

I have done all the above steps, and the issue still persisted, I then decided to recreate the report on a fresh new PBIX. file and republished it, i also reconnected the specific SQL dtaabse connection in the Power BI service and the issues still persists

Hi @LeslieIT,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Forum Community.

Please try uninstalling and reinstalling the gateway, then reconfigure it. This should resolve the issue.

HI @v-saisrao-msft

Thank you for your suggestions, unfortunately this did not work, I found the gateway was oudates ,Iunistalled it and then reinstalled the most up to date gateway, recreated my connections in Power BI service but nothing seems to work for this specific model table
