Data model available in trial version?

I am still exploring the trial version of Power BI. The data model button is grey -- is it not available in trial version?

If you created the report using Power BI Desktop you will need to open it again from Power BI Desktop.

I did not create it using the Desktop version. I used the web version. Do you happen to know if this function is not available in the web version?

I think that this is a current limitation when creating this in the web version.
