Hi, I am currently doing an analysis of stock data using Power BI Desktop. When I refresh my data in Power BI Desktop it returns the error mentioned below. Also attached are the images of Data Source Credentials at Power BI Service and Data Source Settings at Power BI Desktop.

Hi @Anonymous
It is a public webpage and Power BI can access it without a problem in my test. Do you simply click "get data">" web"? Can you try to create a new report and try to load that page?
Could you please make sure you're using the latest desktop version? and the authentication method in service is the same as the desktop?

Hi to all,
This answer solved your problem? @Anonymous
I have the same problem.
It's weird.. the web works ok until I "refresh" the query (I built a function that gets data from different options inside the same web - eg, data from Apple, Amazon, Microsoft...) and immediately everything crash (error 406).
After that, I can't run my query either I can't open the web URL (same error).
Have you any idea what could be the problem? @v-diye-msft @Greg_Deckler
No, the solution they gave is not a solution as it didn't work for me. Very funny to see people verifying their answers as a solution where it doesn't solve my error at all. And yes, I am still waiting for the solution from Microsoft.
The authentication is the same for both Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service. But it still failed. Please advice on this.
Hi Greg,
I am looking for a solution for the error that I posted, not a link that explains what is HTTP 406 Error.
