I'm trying to connect to an on-prem gateway, using a pipeline. I assumed this was possible, but i'm i missing something?
I have created a data connection in PowerBI services, but i don't have the data connection available when configuring the Pipeline.
And when i want to create a new data connection in a pipeline, i don't have the option available to use a gateway?
Thanks in advanced

I mean the one that Add sources at the manage gateway settings over the Fabric portal like the doc I have sent. Then you can use other accounts for pipelines, but you might need aditional permission. That's why you could first check if the account that has added the sources can actually connect the pipeline to source. That's to make sure the connection doesn't have any issue and can be done.

Hi. I make sure you are login the same account for the installed gateway and Fabric when creating the pipeline. Let me share the process so you can check if you are following every step. It shows an example with dataflows gen2 and pipelines: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/data-factory/how-to-access-on-premises-data
I hope that helps,

Hi,
But the account that installed and is running the gateway is just a local/AD account. That account is not available in Fabric at all? I have followed that instructions. But i don't see anything mentioned about using the same account
For both Fabric/PowerBiService or the OnPremise Data Gateway you must login a EntraID (previously called Azure AD). It asks for a Microsoft work or professional account. You might have sync the local AD with azure accounts. The same mail user and password used at gateway can be used at fabric portal. Then when opening the Manage Gateway at the settings, you should see it in order to add sources.
I hope that make sense

Ah, you mean that the EntraID that registred the gateway to PowerBI services, should also create the pipeline in Fabric? Is this somewhere in the documentation? Because i could not find it
