Connect to MySQL Database via Virtual Machine Data Gateway from Power BI Service

I have the following problem:

When i want to connect to the MYSQL-Database (when creating a new dataflow) i get the following error:
We were unable to find a database provider with invariant name 'MySql.Data.MySqlClient'.
But i installed the Connector on the VM: Connector/NET 9.1.0
Also of course i installed the on premise data gateway and added the required pfx certificate (required by the mysql server) to the certificate store of the VM.

Can you please help?

Best
Leo

Hi @LeonardZim ,

You can try reinstalling the driver and restarting the gateway and make sure workbench and connector are the same version.

There is another way to downgrade the Connector:Solved: Power BI Desktop - Unable to Connect - Microsoft Fabric Community

Also try deleting all lines of the configuration file in the following image:

Thanks for your answer!
I tried to do so but i still get the same error.
I tried different versions of the my-sql connector: https://downloads.mysql.com/archives/c-net/
What you mean by workbench and connector are the same version? I only have the connector installed on the Virtual Machine. The My-SQL Server is hosted by another company.

Have you any other ideas?
