Connect Oracle DB using Power BI Rest API

Hi All,

I am trying to automate the process of creating dataset using Power BI rest API, however I am not able to pass correct parameter through rest API to create dataset on On-Prem Oracle schema. Can some one please help?

Requirement - Need to create dataset using Oracle On-Prem schema and direct query as an option.

Based on my research on the Rest APIs about the Datasets: 

• Update Datasources API and Update Datasources In Group API can Updates the datasources of the specified dataset, this API surpport SQL Server, Azure SQL Server, Analysis Services, Azure Analysis Services, OData Feed, and SharePoint datasources
• Set All Dataset Connections API and Set All Dataset Connections In Group API can Updates all connections for the specified dataset, this API surpport SQL, AS, OData Feed, and SharePoint and
• Update Parameters API and Update Parameters In Group API can Updates the parameters values for the specified dataset, All parameters must exist in the dataset. 

We can use these APIs to update the connective information on an exist dataset, Sorry for that but we did not found an API to create dataset by REST API.

Thanks @v-lid-msft for your response. I was trying to use PostDataSet option of Push DataSet API, under which i can see we can create DB dataset. Is that something can't be used?
