Hi,
We would like to change the IP-adress of the server our Power BI gateway is hosted on, not a new server, same server just changing the IP-adress of the current server. Is it possible to do this without recreating the whole gateway, or will it count as a new gateway?

Hi. I think that if the app is still on the server it shouldn't be a problem. The link between Service and the Gateway is built base on the account. However if you experience issues with that, you can create a cluster of gateways in a different VM/PC or migrate it.
Migration/Recover: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/data-integration/gateway/service-gateway-migrate
Cluster: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/data-integration/gateway/service-gateway-high-availability-clusters
I hope that helps,
P/D be careful with proxy or weird changes on the network
Happy to help!
Just an update of how it went, we changed the IP today, and it was completely seamless. No noticeable outage, just had to adapt the rules in the firewall. All is working well for both our gateway. Thanks for the help!

It would be a great help if you elaborate on it.
