Card Visual

Hi there,

I have updated a card visual wiht a new measure, outputting a new value. When I publish the dashboard the Value that I get on the Card visual from the published dashboard is different from the value I have on my desktop PowerBi card visual. I'm not sure why this is, I have removed all filters/slicers which could affect the visual but not sure how to fix this.
Anyone has any ideas? thanks

Please check your data source fresh status both on desktop and service. May be your data got refreshed after you published the report.

Hi @Gio_PowerBI,

Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.

It looks like you are facing issues with your card visuals, where the values in your visuals are different when you publish the report. When the value on a Card visual in Power BI Desktop differs from the value displayed in Power BI Service (published dashboard), there could be couple of reasons for this.

* There can be data refresh discrepancy where the data in Power BI Desktop may be more recent or different from

the dataset in Power BI Service.

* Check if Row-Level Security (RLS) is enabled, the published report might display values based on user /

permissions. Check whether the logged-in user has different data access than what is available in Power BI

   Desktop.

* The report cache in Power BI Service might not be refreshed immediately after publishing, even if the dataset

refreshes, the visual might still be displaying a cached version. So, clear the Cached Data in PowerBI service.

If the issue still exists then I recommend testing the measure in a new Card visual and comparing the results in both Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service. Additionally, checking the Dataset Settings in Power BI Service to confirm the correct dataset version is being used might help.

I would also take a moment to thank @Fowmy, for actively participating in the community forum and for the solutions you’ve been sharing in the community forum. Your contributions make a real difference.
