Capacity Metrics Error Internal Error: Error obtaining data location. . La interfaz de IDbCommand...

I installed Capacity Metrics and Chargeback Reporting on a Fabric subscription. I've already uninstalled and reinstalled both applications, I have Fabric Admin permissions, I'm connecting using OAuth2, and my user account is confirmed to be an administrator. However, when I try to update the semantic model, after a long time, it returns the following error:

Error del origen de datos: Expression.Error: No capacities found. You need to be a capacity admin of at least one or more capacities.. . The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface.

I have repeated the task of installing, reinstalling, and trying to load the data, and the result is the same.

Hi @Nannyhg ,

I Request you to raise a Microsoft Support ticket and provide the Activity ID, Request ID, cluster URI, timestamp, capacity details, and screenshot showing your Capacity Admin assignment.

Thankyou @GilbertQ  for Addressing the issue.

Hi @Nannyhg ,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community Forum,Below are the few points which can resolve your issue.Let us know if you need any further assistance.

  • The error "No capacities found. You need to be a capacity admin of at least one or more capacities" usually indicates a Capacity Admin permission issue, rather than an OAuth2 or application installation issue.
  • Having the Fabric Administrator role does not necessarily mean you are a Capacity Administrator for a specific Fabric capacity.
  • Verify that your user account is explicitly assigned as a Capacity Admin for at least one Fabric/Power BI capacity.
  • Go to Fabric/Power BI Admin Portal → Capacity settings → Select the relevant capacity → Capacity admins and confirm that your account is listed.
  • If your account is not listed, ask an existing Capacity Admin or appropriate administrator to add your user account directly as a Capacity Admin.
  • After the permission is added, allow some time for the change to propagate, then sign out/sign in again and refresh the Capacity Metrics semantic model.
  • Also verify the RegionName parameter in the Capacity Metrics semantic model and make sure it matches the region where your Fabric capacity is hosted.
  • Reinstalling the Capacity Metrics and Chargeback Reporting apps repeatedly is unlikely to resolve the issue if the underlying Capacity Admin permission is missing.
  • If you are already a Capacity Admin, the RegionName  is correct, and the error continues after the permissions have propagated, raise a Microsoft Support ticket and provide the Activity ID, Request ID, cluster URI, timestamp, capacity details, and screenshot showing your Capacity Admin assignment.

Thanks for your idea, but it doesn't work; it keeps giving the same error. I'll try to create a case

Hi @Nannyhg

Can you go into the Semantic model settings and make sure that you have put in a valid capacity ID in the parameters as shown below?
