Can we use sql server authentication in power bi on premise gateway?

i am using azure sql database in power bi desktop with 'sql server authentication' credentials to connect to database. but we want to add this datasource to gateway. and i only see 'windows' and 'basic' authentication methods in gateway settings while ading datasource. in this case should we change database authentication type to windows and use the same?

If you want to use "sql server authentication" credential, please choose "Basic" option.
