Quick case description:
- We are using MSSQL (and created a DWH) and procedures to create and updating data sources, for the reports commonly we are using one big table and that table is functioning as the reports' sources.
- There are multiple reports in the cloud and most of them are using the previously mentioned big table.
Main goal: If we have any pre-defined (like because of some sort of DWH error transformation there will be only one row in the one big table instead of 10.000 rows) issue on table level, then block the PBI from refreshing the data, like a lock table statement. I tried to solve it one SQL level, but there was a definite request that the procedure should running on a daily basis and if there is a problem then as I mentioned the PBI cloud refresh should be blocked.
Is there any kind of possiblity to deliver some kind of solution?

Hi @Anonymous ,
At present, for the refresh function in PowerBI, most of the factors that affect refresh are related to gateways, data source credentials, etc. It is temporarily impossible to trigger PBI to stop refresh when pre-defined issue on table level. May wish to post your idea here. Hope to solve your problem as soon as possible.
Here is the Troubleshooting refresh scenarion official document.
