Power BI Gateway randomly loses connection to SQL server & magically comes back 25 minutes later
This seems to occur randomly a couple times a week and cannot track down the source, but I'm starting to suspect it may be some server setting or maybe firewall?
I have an on-prem gateway setup with connections to on-Prem Dev and Production SQL servers. There are connections to a SQL database and to an SSAS database. I don't experience this with Dev (maybe because those reports are rarely utilized in Power BI), but I'm finding that the gateway spontaneously loses connection to the Production SQL server. It ends up reconnecting on it's own about 25 minutes later. This causes a lot of frustration for users trying to run reports in that timeframe, but I can't figure out how to track this down. It doesn't seem like the gateway because the Dev server connection is fine while Production is down. I can directly access the Production server through RDP and SSMS, and actively query the database during the time that the gateway is unable to connect. Any ideas?

Hi Anonymous ,
You need to do network post test in gateway:
And also collect gateway logs for us: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/data-integration/gateway/service-gateway-log-files
