Azure Analysis services - Big Query

Dear colleagues

I am working with Azure Anlysis Services working on BiQuery working with odbc driver, this is fine.

nonetheless, I am wondering if I could work without gateway since both tech are cloud (big query windows and Azure Analysis Service are both cloud).

Does any one have a idea on this ?

best regards

I would take a look here, and if you don't see one, create a new feedback item and others in a similar situation will vote- https://feedback.azure.com/d365community/forum/d92323a0-0525-ec11-b6e6-000d3a4f0858

There is a connector in Power BI Desktop for BigQuery but I don't think the connector is added to Azure Analysis Services yet but please double-check.

If there is a connector, then you don't need a gateway, but if there isn't one, and if you end up using a driver that needs to be installed on a server computer, in that case you will need a gateway.
