Hi there,
I have several metrics in a scorecard which are based on reports that have a live connection to an Azure datamodel.
This datamodel with the live connection to the report is updated once a day.
In some cases the metrics update automatically at the time the data set with connection to Azure data model is fully updated.
Problem: there are also metrics that do not update automatically, even though the underlying data model is updated.
In this cases it is not exactly the same data set but it is also based on an Azure data model.
What may be the reason for this issue and how can I solve it? The hourly automatically refresh of the report is already set for both.
Thanks in advanced!
Hi,
thanks for this suggestion. But it is still not working.
The problem is not, that the shown value does not refresh. The connection to the underlaying data set is not refreshing.
Has that dataset (=semantic model) got scheduled refresh enabled? Do you know when the scheduled refresh is taking place (daily, ever week, ...) ? You cancheck the status of the dataset and the refresh history to find out more.
Perhaps it has scheduled refresh enabled, but it failed for some underlying reasons. This error message will be valuable to capture and address.

Yes the semantic model is scheduled to refresh every hour (semantic model of the scorecard as well as the model the metric is referring to). And there are no error meassages but it is still not working.
Hi @Parn ,
Because of the cache, even if the data in the dataset is successfully refreshed, the latest data is still not immediately reflected in the report.
The latest data will be displayed only when the visual is interacted or the cache is cleared. So you need to refresh the browser page or refresh visuals after the dataset is refreshed to clear the cache and load the latest data.
