My company uses snowflake as a dataset to share reports to Power BI Service.
Only people with individually authenticated accounts can connect to Snowflake from Power BI Desktop.
The report is shared on Snowflake with individual accounts.
Reports shared to workspace allow build access.
At this time, I would like to know how to authenticate members with build access (who do not have individual Snowflake accounts) to share the dataset.
Individual accounts are required to view Snowflake data. However, he does not have one.
However, he can share and report on the data set.
Why?
I would imagine that the Power BI Service is using the author's Snowflake account information registered in the report to make the connection.
But there is no proof.
Someone please tell me!
Hi @TC_azuma ,
For more information on how shared datasets work, you can check out this article below.

As for your comment about how to give the user build permissions, you can give him permissions by Manage permissions in Dataset Setting.

Hi, @Anonymous .
Thanks for the answer.
I'm so glad you did.
However, it seems that what I want to know is not being communicated correctly.
I understand how to give building authority.
But I want to need to know the authentication process behind it.
There are members who are granted build access but do not have individual Snowflake accounts.
He has been granted build access so he can create reports from the shared data set.
However, I don't have a separate Snowflake account, so this should not be possible.
Is this referenced by the Power BI Service using individual Snowflake accounts registered in the shared data set?
Sorry for the confusion.
I'd be very happy to give you an answer.
