ArcGIS error "The Provided Data failed to generate a layer on the map"

I have a report that uses the ArcGIS component. It's been working fine, and now out of the blue I'm getting an error "The Provided Data failed to generate a layer on the map." It's happening in both the desktop version and the published Power BI service. Anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot?

Hi @jdballard30 ,

Did your problem occur when you added a date field and changed it from the date hierarchy (Year, Quarted, Month, Day) to the actual date?

Maybe you can try to create a new column using the DAX CONVERT function and converting the date to a string.

Thanks, but my map has no date referenced, why is the problem happening then?
