App owns data embed While Authenticating with Non-Azure AD provider

Hi, 

I am relatively familiar with embedding powerbi apps in ASP.NET web applicatsions by calling the Power BI Service API using PowerBI.NET SKD.  I usually authenticate with Azure Ad. 

However, I have been expermenting with using other authentication provider and I am wondering how I can go about accessing the powerbi service principal within the app without authenticating the whole app with AzureAd

@collinq  The methods only seem to use azure as as authentication method. 

What I am trying to do is 

- authenticate user of my app using adfs federation service ✓ done 

-embed reports within my app using the app -owns data embedding method by registering an azure as app as service principal. ✓ done

I can do these separately but cannot do both in the same app for some reason.
