Analyze in Excel connection error today

I'm able to retrieve Power BI data with Analyze in Excel every day.

But it shows an error message that cannot connect to https://api.powerbi.com today.

The service status is normal.

does anyone encounter the same issue?

I found the PBI desktop is trying to connect by TLS 1.0 in network monitor

I'd like to suggest you check the following troubleshooting sections with corresponding error message.

• Update Excel libraries for the OLE DB provider
• Determining whether you need to update your Excel libraries
• Connection cannot be made error
• Forbidden error
• No data models
• Token expired error
• Unable to access on-premises Analysis services
• Can't drag anything to the PivotTable Values area (no measures)

You can force the gateway to communicate with Service Bus by using HTTPS instead of direct TCP. Starting with the June 2019 gateway release and based on recommendations from Service Bus, new installations default to HTTPS instead of TCP. This default behavior doesn't apply to updated installations.

By default, the gateway uses Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 to communicate with the Power BI service. To ensure all gateway traffic uses TLS 1.2, you might need to add or modify the following registry keys on the machine that runs the gateway service.

Contacted Microsoft support to help and changed registry keys on the Win7 machine.

But not working.

The worksaround is to use Win10.
