REST API PBI Report Server

Is it possible to use REST API in PowerShell to download and upload reports in bulk to a PBI report server?, for example select multiple folders, or at least a folder containing multiple PBI reports?. And also if anyone can share a script example of this situation would be great!. Thanks!

Hi @maneschr2022 ,

According to your description, you can download the powerbi report using powershell by following these steps:

  1. The first step is to install and import the MicrosoftPowerBIMgmt PowerShell module
  2. The second step is to fill in the variables at the top of the script:
  3. The third and final step is to sign into Power BI, a prompt asking you to sign into Microsoft Azure will pop up. Use the credentials you would use to sign into PowerBI.com.
