I am colaborating with collegues in Microsoft teams using and excel file that we all access and edit. I want to create a power BI report from this spreadsheet but cant find a way to select this file as a data source. Any ideas?

Hi Mchege,
While in Teams, hit button "Open in Sharepoint" marked in yellow. (Sorry for my locale language)
You will need your copy your link to your sharepoint folder, in my case:
https://company.sharepoint.com/sites/NVGCMPowerBIReporting
Then follow below instruction.
Let me know, if it works.

Thanks @Anonymous Worked for me.
Hello,
I also would like to use a spreadsheet in Teams as a data source for Power BI.
However, when I follow your directions, I get an error when I copy the link.
The steps I followed were:
1) Navigate in teams to the desired spreadsheet
2) Open in Sharepoint
3) Copy Link
4) remove all after "XXX.sharepoint.com/sites/folder"
5) I then get the error message:
"Unable to Connect
"we encountered an error while trying to connect"
"Details: "access to the resource is forbidden"
I don't understand why I get a message saying my access to the resource is forbidden when I DO have access to not only the sharepoint site, its folders but also the actual file I am attempting to connect to.
Please help. I am not an "IT guy" and have just been thrown into this role.
Thanks
RBALT
Hi Rasty,
I tried this and it worked. Looks like it was the way I entered the sharepoint link. I also got assistance from my collegue on the next steps after that and it worked. Thanks you for your help
