I have an issue that only occurs when using my laptop, and not when logged into other machines.
I am using PowerQuery to connect to a database in both Excel and PowerBI. The database's server has an alias, which is what I use to connect.
Last month, the database was moved, but the DNS alias remained the same. When I use my laptop to try to connect to the database, I get an error saying "We couldn't authenticate with the credentials provided". If I use the actual server name, it will connect without issue. If I use the DNS alias on another machine, it will connect without issue. What do I need to change on my laptop to make PowerQuery "forget" the old location for the aliased server?

Based on this old thread :
This maybe a permission/authentication error. When you ever connect to your data source in an unauthorized account, the corresponding credential would be created. You may need to change credential, go to “File –> Options and Settings –> Data Source Settings”, under “Global permissions”, select old SQL Server data source connections and click on Edit permission in Power BI Desktop, then connect to it and check if it is successful.
If you still have this issue for Power BI, you'd better create a support ticket in Power BI Support , Scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET", or go to Issue forum to get further help.
