Problem installing Personal Gateway

I am trying to install it but getting the following:

System.InvalidOperationException: Cannot start service PBIEgwService on computer '.'. ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion

at System.ServiceProcess.ServiceController.Start(String[] args)
at Microsoft.PowerBI.EgwInstallUtils.CustomActions.RestartService(Session session)

I am running it as an Admin.

Please help.

Hi @Markzolotoy,

Based on your description, you fail to install Power BI Personal gateway, please help to post the full information from setup log of the gateway. You can access the log file from installation wizard or go to your Temp folder (%temp%) and look for files that start with Power_BI_. For more details, please review this article.

In addition, please ensure that group policy allows you to log on as a service, also make sure that you close any applications and turn off any non-essential processes when installing gateway.
