Hello! I've been doing a lot of research on this, and I'm still super confused.
I have a Microsoft planner that I would like to link to PowerBi so I can do some analytics on it. I do NOT want to link it by extracting an Excel sheet whenever I need the data refreshed. I have made a Planner in SharePoint, but whenever I try to connect it, it doesn't work.
Looking for any help that could help me!
So - to answer my question, no you cannot connect PowerBI and Planner directly without paying someone else. Correct?
Hi @nataliesmiy1357 ,
Currently there is no direct way to connect them as far as I know.
If you have simliar ideas, you can submit here to help improve power bi: https://ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/
It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.

Hi @nataliesmiy1357 ,
You can try to use Microsoft Flow to export data to Sharepoint List and connect to it via Power BI Desktop.
