Power Query won't automatically recognize CSV columns split it

Hello!

I'm having trouble when trying to combine a folder with csv files since PowerQuery don't recognize the comma / quotation pattern, even if I change the settings. (see photo)

The files have been just extracted and can be normally split into columns if I try do do it in Excel using "Text to Columns".

I know I can split columns later in Power Query, but I'd like to understand what is causing the problem.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @BA_Pete!

Althoug the files have all the same structure, eventually I can find some samples that will work. But only these will be correctly split into columns, the other ones will keep all the data in one single column.

Hi @Anonymous ,

I'm probably over-simplifying this, but it looks like you need to go through the File Origin list until you find an encoding format that works.

Apologies if this is what you already meant by "even if I change the settings".
