In the PowerBI desktop app when clicking "Transform Data" the power query editor does not show up. On the taskbar I can see there is a window open for power query editor but when I click on the window, it does not show up.

Hi @Anonymous ,
Have you tried to re-start your Power BI?
if still happening, have you tried to re-install the power bi?
Hope this helps.
I initially tried multiple files and repeated the issue on all of the files, now I am using a brand new PowerBI file with nothing in it and I get the same issue. You can see when I hover over the task bar Icon I can see the Power Query Editor trying to open, but it never does.

Thank you,
@Brett007 I had this issue today. The only way round it was to uninstall and re-install. But dont download the Power BI Desktop from the Microsoft store. Download it from the PBI website directly and install that version. I'm not sure if these are different files (they dont look it, same version) but it resolved the issue for me.
Thank you @mussaenda and @v-eqin-msft for your help and responses. I was able to re-install to get the issue to go away.
Hi @Anonymous ,
It seems that I could not reproduce your issue on my side with version ——2.103.881.0 64-bit (March 2022)
Did you follow @mussaenda 's suggestion to restart PBI or restart your machine ?
And please always use the latest version of PBI to avoid unexpected error.
Best Regards,
Eyelyn Qin

I am running into the same problem as before and unable to solve it. Were you able to find a solution?
I had the same problem and thought I would have to reinstall Power BI, but what ended up working was right clicking the window in this view and picking "Maximize".
Thank you!!! I used "Windows + Up" and worked too.
thank you, that worked for me too 🙂
