Why is power query eating up SO MUCH resources - I am not even refreshing anything I have just the Excel file open nothing is being refreshed,
Are you querying the folder that the file is in, as opposed to just the file directly?
Yes, in that workbook I have queries that point to folders (or files in a folder) and some that are directed to the files itself.
Is that what is causing it and why. Also, is there a proper way to do it or how should we stop it from acting that way - using resources even if it's not being refresh.
