Left Outer Join through Relation ship joining

Hi Team,

Problem : I want to create left outer join with relationship mapping instead of SQL Queries

Steps :

Step1 : When I go to manage relation, select the 2 tables  with their primary id joins and then click on relation many to one and cardinality as both a relation ship is created.

Step2 : When creating Report I can get attributes from both the tables

Step3 : Problem here is the after extracting meaning exporting  I am not getting the exact count.

Step4 : After some analysis I see that if any attributes are having null values power bi delete that particular rows.

Please help us for the solution .

This relationship is not something like join in SQL, manage relationship is about filer directions. You may use Power Query instead of relationship and sql query, merge query is your best option.

If you are saying that the filter is "both" as in bidirectional, tryncnahing it so it filter a in the right direction--that is, drag from fact to dimension.

create a index column for the table with null values for the specific column and check that columns filters steps to avoid it from filtering out null values,

the index column will make all existing row have a value to work as reference for that exact row,

also check why its generating null value if its a key column, it shouldnt have null values
