How to pull additional data from source folder, to modifiy a template?

I am trying to modify an inherited Power BI template. the template is set to pull from a designated folder, and pulls a series of worksheets from the excel files in that folder...

here is the existing Query list:

I want it to pull 2 additional worksheets form the excel files, but when i try to make a new query from the same folder, using the combine and transform option (to be able to select the worksheets i want)...

...it adds parameters and new sample files to the power BI template...

When i then go to create a new project with the template, it is no longer asking for just a source folder... but for additional parameter values as well - which just messes everything up, and casues the created power BI File to have a bunch of broken data if not defined properly...

what i want to do is modify the original query - to have it pull additional worksheets from the excel files in the designated folder... i want to avoid any new parameters/source files....

Is this possible?

After two days of trying and failing... i stumbled upon this video:

that was able to give me enough direction to make it work...

Basically - I did NOT need to make any New Queries at all... I just needed to duplicate tables that already existed in the project, and alter the "Applied Steps" to unpack the desired tables from the original source folder.
