Help!

Hi All,

Can hyperlinks to pdf files can be added to Power BI visuals?

For example, I have a lot of policies and procedures which is ongoing (writing stage), completed and planned listed in one table. And I'd like to link them as pdf files in cloud to document numbers in Power BI visual table, is it possible?

Hi,

Thanks for the solution @BA_Pete  provided, and i want to offer some more information for user to refer to.

hello @SaltaSultan , based on your description, as @BA_Pete  mentioned, you need to change your url text type to 'Web URL'first, and make sure the format is "https://......." .

then you want to link them as pdf files in cloud to document numbers, you can refer to the following steps.

1. click conitional formatting for the field , then select 'web url'

Hi @SaltaSultan ,

Yes. Once you import your table of URLs into the data model, select the column of the table that contains your URLs, then change the Data Category to Web URL, which will allow them to be clicked as links when displayed in a table/matrix visual:

@v-xinruzhu-msft Hello! Thank you for your detailed reply, but the problem is all those pdf files that I have to attach are in organizational cloud of the app that company uses to track them, so it's not satrting from http however hard I've tried to... how I can possibly solve it now?

Hi @SaltaSultan

Thanks for your quick reply, and after testing, if you want to display them, you need to put them to a website, or it cannot work, you can put the pdf to sharepoint or onedrive, then can use the url.

Best Regards!
