Getting Personal Gateway Offline error

I am facing below challenges when I applied auto refresh on scheduling the Power BI reports in one of our VM.

1.On the time of scheduled refresh,  if VM user logged in scheduled  refresh works fine.

2.On the time of scheduled refresh, if VM user is not logged in (VM user went for sleep mode ) we are getting the below error.

Error- Your data gateway (personal mode) is offline or could not be reached. Ensure the gateway computer is on and you are logged on to it during the scheduled refresh period.

Please give your suggestions on solving this.

Agree with @BITomS . Just as the official document mentioned——Don't install a gateway on a computer, like a laptop, that might be turned off, asleep, or disconnected from the internet. The gateway can't run under any of those circumstances.

In this case, you could use  on-premises data gateway (standard mode) instead of personal gateway. Because the personal gateway can run only as an application, but standard gateway runs as a service.

The personal gateway will not run if the machine the gateway is on is asleep.

You would need to install a gateway on a machine that is always on.

Any idea how the VM where we installed gateway should be always ON.
