I frequently use R scripts within PowerBI's PowerQuery editor to clean data.
I am currently trying to merge two separate datasets together in PowerQuery and then use an R script to clean the resulting dataset.
However, I get the following error message:
Formula.Firewall: Query 'Dataset (step 'Run R script2') references other queries or steps, so it may not directly access a data source. Please rebuild this data combination.
I've read Ken Puls' advice on this issue (https://www.excelguru.ca/blog/2015/03/11/power-query-errors-please-rebuild-this-data-combination/), but can't seem to apply it to my problem.
How could I resolve this problem?
@Anonymous
I am not able to reproduce the error. You may check comments below that blog, there are plenty of cases with this error. This kind of issue do not have an absolute solution it is really about rebuilding model in power query case by case.
Best Regards
Paul Zheng
